Warringtonfire globally offers a comprehensive range of impartial fire safety services to an international market. From developing fire safety design strategies, through testing and certification of passive fire products, to inspection, commissioning and certification of completed projects, warringtonfire can help with all aspects of fire safety.
Warringtonfire is able to perform external cladding testing from our NATA accredited laboratory in Melbourne, our UKAS accredited testing laboratory No. 4559 in Dubai and our BELAC accredited Gent laboratory.
Warringtonfire Melbourne, Gent and Al-Futtaim ²ÝÁñÉçÇø, Dubai test external cladding systems in accordance with BS 8414. This is a large-scale test by which the behavior of an overall external cladding system as part of an external wall is assessed, rather than looking just at individual components.
Our Melbourne laboratory is also accredited for the National Construction (NCC) code, which allows the performance of external wall systems to be demonstrated to achieve compliance under verification method CV3. This verification method requires a façade fire test of a system to achieve the relevant criteria in Australian standard AS 5113. AS 5113 calls up test methods BS 8414, ISO 13785-2 and a variation on AS 1530.4 Appendix B7.
Our Al-Futtaim ²ÝÁñÉçÇø laboratory in Dubai is also able to perform external cladding testing for acoustics, in our purpose built acoustic test facility, to demonstrate sound insulation properties, up to Rw / STC 79dB, on various building elements. Fire testing to BS 8414 Parts 1 and 2 and NFPA 285 and fire barrier testing to ASTM E2307 as well as Product classification to EN 13501-1.
We can also perform non-fire laboratory based external cladding testing to ASTM, CWCT & BS EN standards for:
- Air Leakage
- Water penetration (static, cyclic, dynamic and hose)
- Structural wind resistance (static and cyclic)
- Seismic movement
- Thermal cycling
- Operational cycles
- Load tests
- Impact resistance
- Balustrade tests – point & uniformly distributed load tests & impact tests
- Fragility / robustness tests
As well as:
- Glass stress analysis
- Glass impact testing to BS EN 12600 and ANSI Z97.1
- Test for partitions to BS 5234
- Strength test for panels to ASTM E72
- Bespoke tests
And on-site testing to ASTM, CWCT & BS EN standards:
- Air leakage
- Water penetration (static and hose)
- Structural wind resistance (static and cyclic)
- Load / pull-out tests
- Impact resistance
- Balustrade tests – point & uniformly distributed load tests & impact tests
